We are building a program that employs people returning from incarceration to help prepare rescued cats for life in highly urbanized areas like Oakland and the greater Bay Area.
Supporting
Foster Cats
While the article about the Bay Area being overrun with cats came out in July 2025, we still have an over population issue!
During covid, and still today, we often see many posts online of people trying to rehome their cats due to a move to an apartment or that they worry they won’t give them enough attention returning to office.

What People Are Saying
"It’s really a cool project that tackles so many needs at once. Really well thought out and has so much potential to do good for two very unique groups in multiple communities. "
-Darrell M., Bay Area Attorney
"As an international prospective adopter, I was concerned about hiccups. Mai guided me through the process from start to finish, carrying both extensive knowledge, and a real sincerity with feline welfare. I would consider adopting again from this agency, and recommend Bow Tie Panther 10/10. This is an organization that is very invested in its ethical operations. I am beyond grateful to give Nayru a home, and my heart is full."
-Glyness B., Canadian Adopter
